Boston, MA- Yesterday, Governor Maura Healey signed the supplemental budget to ratify and provide funding for the AFSCME Unit 2 contract.

Since this spending plan was finalized so early, the commonwealth will now have more than three months to perform the necessary calculations and ensures that AFSCME Unit 2 members will recieve their well-deserved raises in their paychecks ON-TIME when the first increase is due in January 2025.

Council 93 worked in with other public sector unions to get this budget passed as quickly as possible and avoid any unnecessary delays in putting money in the pockets of tens of thousands of Massachusetts state workers.
