The Massachusetts Field Services Office services approximately 35,000 members across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in both the public and private sector. AFSCME Massachusetts members work for a number of state agencies, colleges and universities, public and private hospitals, quasi-governmental agencies, school departments, and local governments. 

AFSCME Staff and Local Leaders work together in preparing and handling grievances, contract negotiations, unfair labor practice (ULP) and civil service commission appeals.

We also provide our Local Leaders and members guidance and advice as to their contractual and legal rights.
