Sylvie Perry

My name is Sylvie Perry, I became a member of AFSCME in 1990 Local 1825 ELC Bangor Maine . I held a seat on both the Maine Policy Board and Executive Board and also on the Council 93s Executive Board until being hired as a Staff Representative in the Maine Office in 2004. I was passionate and dedicated to servicing our members sharing my enthusiasm .I also shared my hunger for learning. Unfortunately at was necessary for me to take a medical retirement in 2016 ,that was an extremely stressful time for me.

As Vice Presiden,t I will work very hard to reach out to all of our existing and future Retirees to let them know they have not been forgotten and that they can continue to be an asset to AFSCME through their activism and experience. I pledge to share my passion and enthusiasm for education and inclusiveness. I will end by sharing my appreciation for meeting some of the greatest people I have had the privilege to have in my life in Our Brothers and Sisters from AFSCME.
