Tentative Agreement Summary

  • Duration
    • 3-Year Contract starting from the date of ratification
  • Economics
    • New Wage Scale with guaranteed annual step raises
    • Potential for up to 5.75 % wage adjustment in the first year after full years of service in a related field/position are credited and placed on the new wage scale
    • Shift Differentials
      • Nights $4.25/hr
      • Weekends $3.00/hr
      • Evening $2.00/hr
    • Critical Staffing Pay Differential
      • Weekends $16.00/hr
      • Weekdays $8.00/hr
    • Day of Event PayDifferential $10.00/hr
    • Float $1.00/hr
    • Radio $0.50/hr
    • Weekend Pay Package (16-hours work=24-hours pay or 20-hours work=28-hours pay)
    • $250 Ratification Payment for all employees hired before October 1, 2023 (paid within 30-days of ratification)
  • Quality of Life Upgrades
    • Safety language that includes training and protective gear to keep workers safe
    • Right to 30-minute unpaid meal breaks written into the contract
    • Access to a pre-tax MBTA pass
    • No loss of pay to attend lectures, seminars, workshops, or trainings that are pre-approved by supervisor
    • Materials and expenses for trainings (including mileage, parking, and travel time)
  • Union Protections
    • Just Cause and Progressive Discipline provisions
    • Grievance and Arbitration process
    • Establishment of a Labor Management Committee
